Grady Gammage, Jr. is a part time academic, a practicing lawyer, and an author. In his academic role, Gammage is a Senior Fellow at ASU’s Morrison Institute, the Kyl Center for Water Policy, and a Senior Scholar at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability. His work there focuses on urban growth and development, quality of life, and local economic issues. He also teaches at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and at the W.P. Carey School of Business.
Mark Hartman is Phoenix's Chief Sustainability Officer, Hartman is leading the way to help Phoenix become a global leader in sustainability. In April 2016, council approved the 2050 Environmental Goals. Hartman is working to add and improve social and economic goals. Before arriving in Phoenix, Hartman worked at the City of Vancouver for eight years in Sustainability leading their carbon neutral buildings strategy and their green building code. Under Hartman's watch the City of Vancouver became one of the greenest city's in the world.
Hartman holds an MBA from Heriot -Watt University and is a LEED accredited professional.
John Neville is one of the founders of Sustainable Arizona, a group that works on improving the quality of life in Arizona and the West. He has been involved in sustainable development and communications for more than 30 years.
To name a few of Neville's many accomplishments, he served as the President of Neville & Associates/Mckinley-Neville Inc. for 20 years providing media design, development and production services. Beginning in 2008, he served on the U.S. Green Building Council assisting architechts, developers, builders and communities in meeting the UGBC Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards.
Dr.Nancy Selover is a research professor in the School of Geographical Sciences & Urban Planning at Arizona State University. Selovar serves as the State Climatologist for Arizona. Dr. Selovar received her Ph.D. in Geography, specializing in climatology from Arizona State. Selovar provides climate data and information to researchers, states, educators, city agencies and the public.
Selovar's research focuses on urban heat island, microclimate and evaporation. Selovar serves on the Statewide Drought Task Force, Flood Warning Task Force and the State Hazard Mitigation Planning Team.
Mark Stapp is currently the executive director of the Master of Real Estate Development program at Arizona State University. He has been involved in planning, investing in, developing and consulting on real estate for 32 years. His focus is on creating environmentally sensitive and socially responsible real estate development
